EGM Parents,
As of yesterday, 12/17/24, we had 94 students absent or checked out due to illness. Out of an abundance of caution, Christmas Parties will be reduced to activities with students and teachers, only (no parents or outside visitors). We are hoping to reduce the spread of illness and ensure that our students can still have a fun day within their classroom while practicing prevention methods such as handwashing, wiping down desks/tables and high touch areas, and remaining with the same group throughout the day.
If your child has ANY of the following symptoms, he/she may not return to school until they are symptom-free WITHOUT medication to reduce symptoms for 24 hours:
Fever or Chills
Cough (typically dry)
Sore Throat
Runny or Stuffy Nose
Muscle or Body Aches
Fatigue
Headache
Weakness
Loss of Appetite
Diarrhea and/or Vomiting
Temperatures will be taken upon entry to school and after lunch. Students with fevers (low and/or high grade) will be sent home. Please keep your child at home if he or she is sick.
